Snail’s Spring

I had an idea to design a torsion spring large enough to hold the weight of an adult. Instead of one giant spring I ended up with four slightly less gigantic ones. The seat has some nice bounce to it loaded with 200 pounds and is rated (by some analysis I did) to 500 pounds. It looks a whole lot like a snail and will be brightly colored when painted. The seat will also have a small backrest and arm rests.
